I’m finding this an interesting discussion. I’ve had Kenyan roommates deeply involved with social justice movements in Chicago. I’ve been to West Africa — including Nigeria, Ghana, Mali and Cameroon, check my blog — for 6 months and not hear nearly as much about colonialization as week with my radical buddies. Is it internalized? People have diverse worldviews. Books with a social justice bent can be as informative as they. can be absolutist. Hell, the first Trump voter I talked to was a poor black guy on house arrest — he admitted he wouldn’t have voted that way if he knew Trump was so against Obamacare. And “jungle justice” I learned from a coworker in Cameroon after locals killed a murderer, because let’s be honest, rule of law is night and day.

Alas, I fear social media has put us all in silos.
