The narrative is completely false. The media keeps perpetuating this. As I also wrote. I’m listening this this now. Below is my first response:

Heard 3-min WBEZ-Tribune podcast trailer: “Black People die for reasons others don’t. You die from not turning on a turn signal. You die from moving away from police.”

Already feeling something inside … like … OK, it happens to everyone and it’s super duper rare.

Here are others that are like Laquan McDonald, which is a devastating tragedy that likely has led to hundreds of additional lives lost. Lives not taken by police.

Excerpt of above link with many videos as bad as any others we’ve all seen:

Ask Yourself: Why Aren’t Any Videos Below on National TV. …

… OK, one of them is on COPS.

COMMON REFRAIN: IF WHITE PEOPLE ARE BEING KILLED, WHERE ARE THE WHITE LIVES VIDEOS?

(ANSWER: THEY EXIST, THEY DON’T GO VIRAL)

If black lives didn’t matter, how comes it’s the loss of black lives by police the only ones we hear about? There are more than 250 black lives taken by police every year, and 500 white ones, and another 250 or so are Latino, Asian, Native American or Pacific Islander. (Sources: The Guardian, The Washington Post). (Overall, blacks are 25% of total, and unarmed, they are approximately 2% of 5–9% unarmed the last 3 years, Source: WaPo).

Ask why we haven’t heard the names of Zachary Hammond, Jeremy Mardis, Dillon Taylor, Dylan Noble, or Gilbert Collar?
