There’s not a poll out there that I know of, but have you ever heard of a modern election campaign that directly attacked the candidates voters nearly as much as the candidate? Google “shaming” voters or read this NY Times Article: “Stop Shaming Trump Supporters.”

I was WHOLLY convinced Trump was going to lose, so I was wrong. In the words of Rage Against the Machine, many went, “Fuck you, I won’t do what you told me.” Including around the issue, ironically, of police violence.
